Tea Time

For the most part, all of my blog posts until now have either been upbeat, cheery, helpful, or just happy, and that's great. That's what I wanted this blog to really be about. With that though, comes a big "but." Happy posts are great, and they're what people usually want to read but rants are a thing to be written and talked about as well. In this post, I'll be sharing with you all one of my biggest pet peeves, and you'll get a little insight as to how I view it. Alright so here it goes... being rude. Probably my number one pet peeve right there. I hate it when people are rude. There's absolutely no reason for it. Now don't get me wrong, I'm sure that I've had my fair share of being rude to others in the past, but there is a big difference where you say something or act in a way and don't realize it necessarily, or if you're just blatantly rude for no reason. People who put down others, or say rude or mean things, are my very lea

A Lesson To Learn

Life lessons are very important things to learn. They help us get through life and understand it better. There isn't a set list of life lessons a person has to learn in their life though, they are different for everyone. Some people may even learn the same lesson, but be at different stages in their life when they learn it. In this blog post, I'm going to be sharing one of the important life lessons I've learned so far. Don't Dwell On the Past and What You Can't Change It's something that seems like it would be very simple and make sense, but for me it was not, and honestly still isn't very easy to not do. I am a huge perfectionist, so I try to get everything that I do to be done perfectly, or at least what perfect looks like in my head. When I don't get things done how I would like them, I have a big issue with continuing to think about it and regret it, even though I know it's already in the past.  I have so many examples of where this has

Happy Little Things

Happy little things are what make the world go 'round. Everyone has different things that make them happy, and that is okay. Our likes and interests are specific to who we are and are very unique. In this post, I will be naming off and explaining just a few of my happy little things, and things that make me smile. Friends My friends are probably the most important thing in my life. They aren't more important than family, but they are just as important, and that's because my very best friends are my family. They're there for me in the same ways as my blood family is. My friends are really my security blanket. I rely on them for so much, and them on me, but not so much that I'm dependent on them. My friends make me feel safe, loved, wanted, understood, and so incredibly happy. I truly don't know where I would be if it were not for them. Food Oh man, food is just so wonderful, isn't it? Food makes me HAPPY happy. There's nothing better than getting

Random Acts of Kindness

Some people say that Random Acts of Kindness are silly, or that they don't really "work," but I am one to definitely disagree with that. I don't know a single person who doesn't appreciate a little ray of sunshine in their life. Doing random acts of kindness are guaranteed to brighten up anyone's day. You never truly know what someone else is going through, and your random act may just be the one thing that cheers them up. Here are some examples of things you can do, either by yourself or with friends, as some random acts of kindness: Leave money in a vending machine for someone Bake cookies and bring them to a nursing home Write thank you notes and pass them out to your school teachers and staff Pay for the person behind you in a drive-through Hold the door open for someone Write a letter to your best friend Pick up trash at a park or any other outdoor, public area Write positive notes and put them up on the mirror in a public restroom Compliment a
