Alphabetical Adventures

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go? Why would you go there? What if you only got to go to 26 places and each place had to start with a different letter of the alphabet? For a lot of people, I'm sure the first two questions have easy answers. The last question however, is a little bit trickier to think of answers for. In this post, I'll be answering that 26 places question and hopefully giving you some ideas of where you might want to go if you were ever asked:) Amsterdam: this place just seems like it'd be a really fun place to be and travel to. Barcelona: in all honesty, it's just because Ed Sheeran has a song with this as the title. California: there's so many different places to go here and fun things to do. The fun and exploration would be endless. Dominican Republic: I know a lot of people who have been and they all say that it's beautiful there and that there are so many fun things to do and I'd really like to try them o

The Do's and Don'ts of Friendship

Friendship may seem like an easy thing, and that's true in a sense. Friendship should be easy if you follow the "rules." There are certain things that you should and should not do with friends. Today I'll be talking about the do's and don'ts of friendship and how to handle each one. Do's: Do trust your friends- you're friends with this person for a reason, you shouldn't worry about what you say or do around them. Do respect their choices- sometimes our friends do things we don't necessarily agree with. It doesn't make anyone "the bad guy," it just means we need be polite and respect what they do. Do be honest- you should never lie to a friend, even if it's just a white lie, you never know how it could spiral into something bigger later on. Do celebrate their victories- be happy for your friends when they accomplish something! You know you'd want the same response in return. Do have each other's backs- no matte

"Today is a Good Day for a Good Day"

This is one of my all time favorite quotes. To my knowledge, it isn't originally by anyone in particular. The first time I heard it though, I heard it from my mentor, "big sister", and friend, Abby. I love this quote because it's such a great reminder. It's pretty much become my motto too, because of how much I say it. Allow me to really explain to you why I like it so much. When you really think about it, we as people mostly have control over our mood and how we feel. We have the power to either let little things get to us, or not let them bother us in the least bit. I understand that sometimes we just have those days where we feel like we don't have control over anything at all, but that's why I said for the most part;) My love for this quote first started on a mission trip to Haiti I went on last February. We had to wake up super early in the morning to get the day started after staying up really late still working. Every morning Abby would come aroun

Welcome to My Blog!

A Little Bit of an Intro In case you didn't already figure it out from the title, this blog is going to be about the life of a teenager; more specifically, the life of a seventeen year old teenage girl. Now I know what you're probably thinking, "How interesting can a senior girls' life really be?" And to be quite honest with you, the answer to that question will vary depending on who asked it. If you're a kind of person who enjoys hearing about travel, music, theatre, and amazing friendships, then I would say this is the blog for you. But if you're someone who would rather gouge their eyes out with a fork than sit and read about another person's adventures that you can't take, then this probably won't be your cup of tea. What Can I Expect to See Here? While reading my blog, you can expect to see a variety of different posts ranging from what it's like to juggle school and homework with friends and extracurricular activities, to the to
