A Little Bit of an Intro

In case you didn't already figure it out from the title, this blog is going to be about the life of a teenager; more specifically, the life of a seventeen year old teenage girl.
Now I know what you're probably thinking, "How interesting can a senior girls' life really be?" And to be quite honest with you, the answer to that question will vary depending on who asked it. If you're a kind of person who enjoys hearing about travel, music, theatre, and amazing friendships, then I would say this is the blog for you. But if you're someone who would rather gouge their eyes out with a fork than sit and read about another person's adventures that you can't take, then this probably won't be your cup of tea.

What Can I Expect to See Here?

While reading my blog, you can expect to see a variety of different posts ranging from what it's like to juggle school and homework with friends and extracurricular activities, to the top ten best songs of the month. There isn't a set rhyme or reason to this blog, it's more of a "go with the flow" kind of thing. I hope you're willing to read about my senior year of high school and come along with me for the ride!

Random Acts of Kindness

Some people say that Random Acts of Kindness are silly, or that they don't really "work," but I am one to definitely disagree with that. I don't know a single person who doesn't appreciate a little ray of sunshine in their life. Doing random acts of kindness are guaranteed to brighten up anyone's day. You never truly know what someone else is going through, and your random act may just be the one thing that cheers them up. Here are some examples of things you can do, either by yourself or with friends, as some random acts of kindness: Leave money in a vending machine for someone Bake cookies and bring them to a nursing home Write thank you notes and pass them out to your school teachers and staff Pay for the person behind you in a drive-through Hold the door open for someone Write a letter to your best friend Pick up trash at a park or any other outdoor, public area Write positive notes and put them up on the mirror in a public restroom Compliment a...

The Do's and Don'ts of Friendship

Friendship may seem like an easy thing, and that's true in a sense. Friendship should be easy if you follow the "rules." There are certain things that you should and should not do with friends. Today I'll be talking about the do's and don'ts of friendship and how to handle each one. Do's: Do trust your friends- you're friends with this person for a reason, you shouldn't worry about what you say or do around them. Do respect their choices- sometimes our friends do things we don't necessarily agree with. It doesn't make anyone "the bad guy," it just means we need be polite and respect what they do. Do be honest- you should never lie to a friend, even if it's just a white lie, you never know how it could spiral into something bigger later on.
